Satomo
Privacy Policy
Effective date: June 19, 2026
Satomo is built and operated by Rambutan LLC. This policy explains how Satomo handles information when you use the app or contact us.
Information Satomo Uses
Satomo may use your device location to show safety context for the place around you. If you enable optional safety alerts, Satomo may use background location permission to check whether your area has changed and whether an alert should be shown.
Satomo uses public crime data bundled with the app to calculate local safety scores. The app is designed to perform these lookups on device where practical.
Information You Send Us
If you email hello@satomo.app, we receive the information you choose to include, such as your email address, message, and any attachments.
How Information Is Used
We use information to operate Satomo, respond to support requests, improve reliability, and maintain app safety and security. We do not sell personal information.
Location and Notifications
Location and notification permissions are controlled by iOS. You can grant, deny, or revoke these permissions in the Settings app at any time. Some Satomo features, such as local scores or location-based alerts, may not work without the relevant permission.
Children
Satomo is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
Changes
We may update this policy as Satomo changes. When we do, we will update the effective date above.
